Original is a cultural movement and initiative started by the Mexican government, first in its kind to promote fair pay to artisans, promote ethical collaboration with designers and to protect artisans and their work from cultural appropriation. The images are in the fashion show, presenting the garments made by artisans.

FASHION CRASH
In this series, María was a finalist of the photography contest at the international fashion festival FASHION CLASH.
Re-framing the current view on the body and clothes in the fashion system by bringing back the immaterial and sensorial dimension, with all their visual possibilities, throughout different layers in fashion.

HAPTIC HERITAGE PROJECT
Through the cultural clusterfuck of past experiences she developed the Haptic_Heritage Project which documents traditional textiles (and artisans) through photography and opens channels for ethical co-creation between artisans and creatives.

YOYOTL
This series shows a dancing journey through the city of Arnhem, in The Netherlands. The aim is to show how the body connects to the environment, capturing the movements that represent love letters to the city.
These photographs are an intense observation, showing that distortion can be beautiful.
